Prison Break Update - Episode 19

The suspense is building! Only three episodes left, according to Carol's reckoning. (The VP Press Conference is supposedly in episode 22).

Episode 19 aired this Monday, April 23rd. While there were no sightings, Carol did work on this episode. In the scene with Dr. Tancredi and Nika in the diner, Carol was a pedestrian outside the diner window. In several takes, Nika nearly ran into Carol as she rushed out the door (after swiping Sara's keys).

This seems to be a trend for our favorite Extra. In episode 14 (exhumation order?), Carol appeared as a bustling businesswoman in the street; in episode 15, she was a pedestrian outside Wrigley Field (not visible); in episode 16, she was a pedestrian in the street outside the restaurant in the flashback scene with Michael and Veronica (not visible); in episode 17 she was a pedestrian outside the diner in the scene with Dr. Tancredi and the nurse (not visible); and again in episode 19, with Dr., Tancredi and Nika! Perhaps Carol should play-up her specialization in streetwalking?

Thunder Over Louisville

Greetings All,
Carol and I visited Louisville, KY over the weekend for the annual Thunder Over Louisville show. Every year, the weekend before the Kentucky Derby, they conduct a huge airshow and the largest fireworks display in North America (and the second largest in the world). We went for the first time last year, and the weather was awful-- cold, raining, windy-- and yet, it was still an incredible show!

This year, the weather was beautiful, 75 and sunny, and the show was fantastic. The Navy Blue Angels were the main attraction at the air show (always impressive), and the fireworks were unbelieveable. Pictures and video can't do it justice-- you just have to see it to believe it. If you want to check out some pictures from the airshow, you can view them on my Shutterfly page here.

Previously, on Prison Break...

Good Monday, all! Episode 18 aired tonight, and although Carol did not appear in any scenes in this episode, she was very prominently featured reprising her role of Agent Betsy Ross in the opening "Previously, on Prison Break..." sequence. You can view this slightly different scene below.

We may have to hold out til the season finale to see Carol's final appearance. Despite fewer Carol-sightings, the show is getting more exciting and surprising every week!

Agent Betsy Ross

Prison Break, episode 17, April 10: Agent Betsy Ross (the name that was on Carol's badge for this scene), must be the hardest working agent in the service! In the scene at the Secret Service Office with Kellerman and Brinker (the woman from "the Company"; who incidentally played Ensign Ro Laren on ST:TNG, and Admiral Cain on Battlestar Galactica; but I digress...) you can glimpse Agent Ross an amazing THREE times! You can view the full scene in the window below.

Click the pictures below for larger views.

At the beginning of this scene, as Kellerman and Brinker are discussing the man in the picture and Kellerman asks "How is he involved in this situation?", Agent Ross (Carol) exits an office on the left just as they pass by, and walks down the aisle behind them away from the camera.

A few moments later, as Kellerman questions Brinker about using the son of a company man as their "patsy", Agent Ross walks behind them, (a full screen traversal!) right to left.

And finally, when Brinker tells Kellerman that his job is "to be seen, not to be heard", Agent Ross again passes behind them and walks away from the camera.

Agent Ross must be exhausted by the end of the day!

Two other scenes in this episode were potentials for Carol-spotting, but did not pan out. In the diner scene with Dr. Tancredi and friend, Carol was a pedestrian outside the diner window, on the other side of the street! In the scene where LJ is being arrested, Carol was one of the neighborhood onlookers (of which, none were visible). Ah well, you can't win them all!

Prison Break Trifecta

Episode 16 aired tonight, and Carol was featured in an amazing three scenes! At 1:43 into the episode (widescreen version), you can catch Carol laughing just at the left edge of the screen as the waitress brings drinks to their table. Oddly enough, Carol was also one of the pedestrians walking back and forth outside the restaurant window, but she is not visible in any of those shots. Wait-- how can she be sitting in the restaurant AND walking outside the window?! Its unnatural! See the still below (click the pictures for a larger view), or the clip below.

Next, at 19:52 into the episode, Carol is featured as one of the Prosecuting Attorneys in Lincoln's Trial scene. (So, when you think about it, we have Carol to thank for the fact that Lincoln was sent to prison and scheduled for execution. There wouldn't be a series otherwise!) In the standard version, you can only glimpse her from the back (right side of the screen, where the prosecuting attorneys are). But in the widescreen version, you can also see her packing up her briefcase as Veronica and Lincoln share a moment. See the three stills below, or the clip here.

And finally, at 21:42 into the episode, on the "L" platform, Carol is seen twice, from different angles. As the scene starts, she is coming up the stairs on the right of the screen (widescreen only). The camera angle then reverses, and she is now on the left, coming up the stairs and walking behind "C-Note" and his brother-in-law. Dig the funky hat! See the two stills below, or the clip below.

All in all, a great episode for Carol-spotting! You could almost make a drinking game out of it-- if you weren't really intending to get drunk. Stay tuned for the coming episodes where Carol shows her versatility as a Secret Service Agent, and once more reprises her role (perhaps visibly, this time) as a Reporter at a Vice Presidential news conference!
